| DELEGATION HONORS In 2000, twenty-seven candidates recommended by the American Delegate were admitted by the Grand Master as members of the Savoy Orders, thus increasing the total membership in the American Delegation to 99.
In the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus, eleven new Cavalieri, one new Ufficiale, one new Grande Ufficale, one promotion to Cav. Gran Croce (Moto Proprio), five new Dame, and one new Dama di Commenda (Moto Proprio) were proposed by the Delegate and admitted by the Order.
There were also four new Cavalieri, two new Ufficiale, one new Commendatore, and two new Dame in the Order of Merit of Savoy.
There were two new conferrals of the Cross of Merit of Savoy in Silver.

PRESENTATION OF INSIGNIA AND DIPLOMAS TO KNIGHTS AND DAMES OF THE SAVOY ORDERS Tiro à Segno New York City December 18, 2000
On the evening of December 18, 2000 at the Tiro à Segno in New York City, presentations of insignia, diplomas and other honors bestowed by the Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders of the House of Savoy were made to newly admitted members to members receiving promotions and other honorees who had been unable to travel to the Capitolo in Geneva that year.
These included the promotion to the grade of Cav. Gran Croce of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus, of H.E. Archbishop Renato R. Martino, Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations and admission to the Order of Saint Maurice and Lazarus in the grade of Grande Ufficiale of H.E. Archbishop Edwin F. O'Brien of the Archdiocese for Military Services of the United States.
More than 100 members of the American Delegation of Savoy Orders and their families and guests attended this enjoyable and impressive evening which took place in conjunction with the Festa di Natale 2000 organized as a charity benefit by the American Foundation of Savoy Orders, Incorporated.
VISIT OF H.R.H. PRINCE VICTOR EMMANUAL OF SAVOY New York City March 3 - 6, 2000
In connection with his attendance as guest of honor at the Ballo di Savoia 2000, sponsored by the American Foundation of Savoy Orders in New York City on March 4, 2000, the American Delegation of Savoy Orders arranged the following events for the Grand Master of the Savoy Orders, H.R.H. Prince Victor Emmanuel of Savoy, during his visit to United States.
The events were sponsored and hosted through the kindness and generosity of Comm. L'On. Dominic Masarro, Cav. Avv. Martin Picillo and Cav. Richard Torrenzano.
COCKTAIL RECEPTION AND LUNCHEON Tiro à Segno 77 MacDougal Street New York City March 6, 2000
On March 6, 2000 a luncheon in honor of H.R.H. Prince Victor Emmanuel of Savoy was organized by the Delegation in conjunction with Comm. L'On. Dominic Massaro and Cav. Avv. Martin Picillo at the Tiro à Segno in New York City in honor of His Royal Highness Prince Victor Emmanuel. The Tiro is the oldest Italian-American shooting club in America, and was chartered during the reign of Prince Victor Emmanuel's great grandfather, H.M. King Umberto I of Italy. During his visit the Prince announced his intention to present a gift to the Tiro à Segno from his personal firearms collection, a pistol which is said to have been carried by General Giuseppe Garibaldi at the Battle of Calatafermini, one of the earliest victories in the unification of Italy (1860-1870) which was achieved by Prince Victor Emmanuel's great great grandfather, H.M. King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy. There is a statue of General Garibaldi in Washington Square Park, located a short distance from the Tiro à Segno.

On March 3, 2000, a Cocktail Reception in honor of H.R.H. Prince Victor Emmanuel of Savoy was organized and hosted by Cav. Richard Torrenzano in his home to welcome His Royal Highnesses Prince Victor Emmanuel to the United States. Members of the Delegation and special guests attended.
