New York City, June 13, 2008 – The Sixth Annual History Lecture of the American Foundation of Savoy Orders was announced by its President, Commander Marco Grassi. On Tuesday, October 7, 2008, this unique presentation, “Music for a Savoia Cardinal,” an organ recital by Cameron Carpenter, a lavishly praised virtuoso, will be held at Middle Collegiate Church (50 East 7th Street, on Second Avenue, Manhattan, NYC). There will be expert commentaries by Professor Frederick Hammond, retired Professor at Bard College, Fellow of the American Academy and author, and Mr. Richard Torrence, a well-known authority on organ design and construction. After the recital, subscribers will gather for cocktails and dinner at The Players Club, in Manhattan.
