| Comm. Marco Grassi, Chairman of the American Foundation of Savoy Orders, has announced that the Foundation's Seventh Annual Savoy History Lecture will be a joint event with the St. George's Society of New York for the evening of Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 6:00 PM at the Abigail Adams Smith Auditorium (Colonial Dames of America) 417 East 61st Street, between First and York Avenues. The topic - The House of Savoy, Thirteenth Century England and the Mediaeval European Community - will focus on the Savoy family's high level presence in England in the 13th and 14th centuries. Oxford History Professor Dr. Christopher Tyerman, M.A., D. Phil. , will be the speaker. Following the lecture, there will be a reception in the garden and a buffet dinner in the auditorium.
