7TH ANNUAL SAVOY HISTORY LECTURE - TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2009
The 7th Annual Savoy History Lecture is confirmed for the evening of TUESDAY, October 27, 2009.
 
Comm. Marco Grassi, Chairman of the American Foundation of Savoy Orders, has announced that the Foundation's Seventh Annual Savoy History Lecture will be a joint event with the St. George's Society of New York for the evening of Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 6:00 PM at the Abigail Adams Smith Auditorium (Colonial Dames of America) 417 East 61st Street, between First and York Avenues.  The topic - The House of Savoy, Thirteenth Century England and the Mediaeval European Community - will focus on the Savoy family's high level presence in England in the 13th and 14th centuries. Oxford History Professor Dr. Christopher Tyerman, M.A., D. Phil. , will be the speaker. Following the lecture, there will be a reception in the garden and a buffet dinner in the auditorium.
